when?

i have been convicing m+p for a trip for sometime now. routine has become a hardship. i want to be off the virtual stuff. i have been doing so much browsing lately that i have developed carpal tunnel syndrome. there is only one problem in holdaying. my three year old daughter. i have never left her alone and even though i know she can live with her papa, nani, masi and ladoo i dont feel convinced enough. we have major plans to goto greece and enjoy the men, women and scenery. but that will be next year when we have collected enough money from the little business we are trying to do.

i hope next few months, its not about the go-go-go talk. it should be vacation tomorrow.

our wishlist for the vacation
luggage from 'Darjeeling ltd'. a cool collaboration between wes anderson, marc jacobs & louis vuitton for an even cooler movie

manish arora absolut bottle and lots of wine

lots of coffee, tea and breakfast omlettes

no complaints, just inspiration

i-pod for good music

gazing at stars in the middle of the night & making future plans

catching up on old stories and refershing great memories

gossiping about friends we left behind and also missing them a little

not worried about love, sex or money

great photography

wish us luck

m+p is always on the run. today she told me she wishes god took some responsibility for how she feels. she doesnt want to be completely responsible. things are not as bad as they sound. we sign off.

bar stool mania

On one of our outings to a pub we wondered about bar stools and their existence.

The pub was extremely crowded and after standing for a long time we saw two bar stools free and ran to grab it. As we pushed and nudged people around us to make our asses comfortable on the stool… we had the same thought running in our minds – what the hell? Why bar stool? Instead of a relaxing Saturday night we were only discussing how uncomfortable we were and drank our drinks in a hurry and ran out for a long drive.

Points to ponder-

Who invented bar stools?

Why dont they have back rests?

What if someone gets too drunk and falls off?

Why are they so narrow?

If you have a big ass, you know how uncomfortable it can be.

Why are they so tall? There is a leg rest but one has to do a balancing act to adjust. On top of all that it rotates. OH COME ON!

A lot people love the idea of having bar stools at home. Are they kidding?

Was it made so that people quickly finished their drinks and moved on?

If there was a cute bartender one would have managed to wait for as long as they could and admire them. But we never see one.

Our poll results: 9 out of 10 people hate bar stools!

Etc, Etc
There was once a boy. Everyone said he was mad. He was keen on reading our blog. He read it and wrote a joke about a pilot who was high.

why blog?

Wiki Definition
A blog (a contraction of the term "weblog")[1] is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Blog Trivia

Blogs turn 10--who's the father?

"It may not be one of the Internet's grandest accomplishments, but with the number of active bloggers hovering somewhere around 100 million, according to one estimate, there are some serious bragging rights to be claimed by the first person who provably laid fingers to keyboard in the traditional bloggy way.

Was the first blogger the irascible Dave Winer? The iconoclastic Jorn Barger? Or was the first blogger really Justin Hall, a Web diarist and online gaming expert whom The New York Times Magazine once called the "founding father of personal blogging"?..." Someone may want to contact them and give them the correct information. Blogs are not 10 years old they are over 25 years old. I invented blogging back in June of 1982.

Jim Howard is the inventor of blogging.

The first blog is still going and is called Howard's Notebook and can be found at www.showmeblog.com

What do we think?
  • Somtimes we wonder why we are doing the blog? Is it a time-waste or time-pass?
  • Did we start very late?
  • How will it help us?
  • Are we trying to gain popularity?
  • Is it threatening to use a blog?
  • Should we feature ourselves or keep our identity hidden?
What we know
  • Blog consumes our time well.
  • Atleast we are off chatting all the time.
  • A good blog can make you giggle
  • Its a good outlet for thoughts which one cant discuss (especially in office)

when dreams become addictive

This is very painful movie (requiem for a dream). Its more painful to resist if you have an open mind and heart to see the most neglected feelings in human beings.

On a lighter note... we are addicted to day dreaming.

Here are some thoughts-

  • We love a story and have an endless train of thought only to find ourselves stuck there
  • You fantasize about your husbands best friend
  • You have continous patch of non productive days
  • One day you will be as rich as Laxmi Mittal
  • Your friend tells you how wrong you are and is secretly wishing she did what you did

Does day dreaming improve our thinking?

sangarias at terttulia

We have finally discovered a place where we can hangout for hours and feel at home too.

This sunday the chit-chat, sangrias, pasta & pizza washed off our weeks madness.

We look forward to another sunday at terttulia. If you want to unwind and chill out with friends for hours without getting disturbed by anything we recommend terttulia. Good food is definately a bonus.

meta-, -morph, -osis

Sometimes when we are chitchatting on sundays... we hope people around us go through a metamorphosis to what they were.

Bridget Riley's metamorphosis is the best to visualise our feeling. She is uber cool.
